Moon Studio Ceramics was founded in 2015 by artist Imogen Charleston. It is an independent pottery studio that provides a range of workshops in clay to suit all ages and abilities. From taster sessions to full day workshops, these hands on practical classes enable participants to make everything themselves from scratch.
Moon Studio Pop Up Pottery provides a unique service by being completely mobile. We regularly attend festivals, community events and schools. Moon Studio is also able to offer a very accessible outreach program to provide workshops in clay to people without transport, people with physical disabilities or who are less mobile, rural communities without local services, schools and community groups without arts departments.
Clay is naturally tactile so enables people of any age and ability to learn skills and develop at their own pace. It can help with motor skills, imaginative play, sensory experience, personal development, confidence and general wellbeing.
We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to participate in high quality and engaging creative classes. Our aim is to improve access to art sessions that support creative learning and encourage self-development through art practice. This is achieved by providing workshops that are fun, educational, relaxed, safe and most importantly available to everyone, regardless of ability or social economic status. We want you to enjoy a memorable and inspiring experience!
