Collaborative clay installations are a great opportunity to bring people together. Whether this be a community group, a school class or at a festival, art in clay has many benefits.
It is a very accessible, tactile material, meaning that anyone can take a piece of raw clay and make something to be part of the sculpture. This enables participants to have collective ownership and a strong bond with the work once it has been completed.
I can work with you do deliver a bespoke workshop for your event or community group. This could include designing and creating a legacy piece that can be site specific such as a tile mural or sculpture.
Pottery Wheel Hire
I offer a wheel hire service with two portable tabletop wheels. These can be rented on a weekly basis for your school or community centre. This is an ideal option if you are thinking to purchase a wheel and want to try before you buy, or if you have a short term project.
An introductory session includes how to set up and use the wheel, plus the basics of throwing. I can also offer support sessions to staff. Please get in touch for more details.
