This 6 week ceramics course offers people the opportunity to explore working with clay. The sessions are suitable for all skill levels, so if you are a beginner or a practicing maker wanting to develop your ceramic knowledge. Each week Imogen will demonstrate from a range of hand building techniques including slab, pinch and coil – wheel throwing plus surface design methods.
You will learn about different clays and how to decorate pottery with underglazes and glazing. This will enable you to develop a personal design led project, whether you want to make large sculptural work or tableware. Completed work will be glazed and fired, ready for collection around 6 weeks later (or can be posted for p&p costs).
Class sizes are small and friendly, with plenty of support with ideas and processes throughout. Please dress for mess and comfort. (aprons provided!) Complimentary refreshments included.

The price (of £144) per person includes tuition, some materials & kiln firing. Additional materials can be purchased on the day if required for building larger projects.
