This 6 week course offers people the opportunity to explore working with clay. The sessions are suitable for all skill levels, so if you are a beginner or a practicing maker wanting to develop your ceramic skills. Imogen will demonstrate a range of hand building techniques, wheel throwing, surface design and you will learn about different clays and glazing. This will enable you to develop a personal design led project, whether you want to make large sculptural work or tableware.
Once complete, decorate your wares with coloured underglaze paints to finish. Imogen will then glaze and fire your work ready for collection around 4-6 weeks later (or delivery for P&P costs).
Class sizes are small and friendly, with plenty of support with ideas and processes throughout. Refreshments included are tea, coffee, soya milk and squash.
The price (of £144) per person includes tuition, some materials & kiln firing. Additional materials can be purchased on the day if required for building larger projects.
