This pottery class is an ideal ‘have a go’ session suitable for beginners. You will learn how to make functional ware. The class will start with a demonstration of slab building, wheel throwing & surface decoration techniques. After that it’s over to you! Create your own design and make it from earthenware clay. Once complete, decorate your wares with coloured underglaze paints to finish. Imogen will then glaze and fire your work ready for collection around 6 weeks later (or delivery for P&P costs).
Class sizes are small and friendly, and Imogen will be on hand to offer support with ideas and processes throughout. Refreshments included.
The price (of £50) per person includes tuition, materials & kiln firing. You can expect to make two pieces of pottery to be fired. Additional pots can be fired at a cost of £4 payable on the day.
