The Introduction to Throwing focuses on using the potters wheel, and suitable for all skill levels.
Imogen will demonstrate how to prepare, centre and shape your clay. You will then be guided step by step through the process, each potter will have their own wheel. After this you’ll be able to work at your own pace, practicing to create your perfect pots! We will look at how to make spouts and attach handles. Finished wares can be painted with underglaze colours and decorating slips. Your work will be glazed and fired, ready for collection around 6 weeks later (or delivery for P&P costs).
Class sizes are small and friendly, and Imogen will be on hand to offer tuition throughout. Complimentary refreshments included.
The price (of £60) per person includes tuition, materials & kiln firing. You can expect to make up to three pieces of pottery to be fired. Additional pots can be fired for a fee of £4 each, payable on the day.
