The Pottery Experience Day is an intensive introduction to working with earthenware clay, and suitable for all skill levels. Design and create your own work in a day! The workshop begins with a demonstration of hand building techniques including pinch, slab and press. You will also be shown how to throw on the potters wheel plus a range of surface decoration methods. Once complete, add colour to you wares with underglaze paints to finish. Imogen will then glaze and fire your work ready for collection around 4-6 weeks later (or delivery for P&P costs).
Class sizes are small and friendly, and Imogen will be on hand to offer support with ideas and processes throughout. Complimentary refreshments included.
The price (of £60) per person includes tuition, materials & kiln firing. You can expect to make one large piece, or up to three smaller pieces to be fired. Additional materials can be purchased on the day if required.
